CONTINUOUS EVOLUTION
NSX should immediately respond to human control. This is the one mind ambition that means changing our initial approach in the middle of the project. It did not feel right with a V10 engine that was mounted transversely in the usual way, so we went back to the drawing board to design a longitudinal wicked V6 hybrid engine with twin-turbocharger.
With this dynamic change, it's not just about display and aerodynamics anymore, we have to adjust the airflow for additional downforce and to cool the components. That means the body must be completely redesigned as well. The changes caused tension at first but eventually brought the designers and engineers closer.
